  • The Birmingham Bar Association's Spring 2010 Bulletin includes an
    article written by Carr Allison shareholder, Kathy R. Davis.  The
    article discusses the differences in "green" contracts and non-green
    contracts and the legal issues involved.  There is also a discussion of
    the unique "green" damages that may result from failure of the design or
    construction to meet the intended green goals or to attain a particular
    "green" certification.

    Ms. Davis serves as Chair of the firm's Construction Law Group, focusing
    her practice on handling construction law cases, general litigation
    cases, and insurance coverage matters.  She is the former Chairperson
    for USLAW Network's Construction Litigation Group.  Ms. Davis serves as
    Chair of the DRI subcommittee on Construction Defect Litigation. She is
    a frequent author and lecturer on topics involving construction law and
    insurance coverage.
