On May 19, 2009, Carr Allison lawyers Chris Barkas and Matt Liebenhaut successfully defended the Christian Television Network (CTN) against the claim of a former sales person for over $150,000 in commissions. It was alleged by the former employee he obtained certain accounts prior to his termination from CTN entitling him to commissions after his termination. However, it was the position of CTN the former employee was not entitled to commissions on the accounts after his termination because, among other reasons, he breached his employment contract by engaging in a competing venture while still employed by CTN. After a day-long Christian arbitration proceeding, the three-person arbitration panel ruled the former sales employee was not entitled to any commissions on the accounts. Therefore, no money was awarded to the claimant.

Carr Allison shareholder, Judson Wells, recently completed a three year term as a member of the Community Advisory Council of the Junior League of Mobile, Inc. Mr. Wells practices in Carr Allison's Mobile, Alabama office. Janee Bonner, current President of the Junior League of Mobile, had this to say regarding Judson's service and contributions:
“Since 2006, Judson Wells has served as a member of the Community Advisory Council of the Junior League of Mobile, Inc. (JLM). In this capacity, Judson was one of 12 advisors selected from the Mobile-Baldwin county area that volunteered to be an advisor and a sounding board to the Board of Directors of JLM – a job for which he was a perfect fit! Judson came to each meeting prepared to contribute, and was keenly engaged on the issues facing not just JLM but our community as a whole. He was a fantastic member of this council, and now that his three year term has come to a close, he will be sorely missed as an advisor.”
