  • The Mississippi Supreme Court appointed Robert Briggs, an attorney in Carr Allison's Gulfport, Mississippi office, to serve as a temporary chancery court judge. 
  • Today, Judson Wells, Sr. spoke with seven of the state’s newly elected and appointed Circuit and District Judges at the New Judge Orientation. Wells, a shareholder in the Mobile office and retired Mobile County District Judge, accepted the invitation by the Alabama Judicial College to speak on “The Transition from the Bar to the Bench.” Judge Wells served on the Mobile County District court for ten years before joining Carr Allison in January of 08’.
  • Regina Cash, Elizabeth Kanter and Eric Wade were recently named shareholders of Carr Allison.

    Regina Cash practices in Carr Allison’s Mobile, Alabama office. She specializes in the defense of transportation, premises liability, workers’ compensation, insurance, construction defect, and complex litigation. She is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Alabama. In addition, she is admitted to   practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Mississippi. Ms. Cash graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Jacksonville State University. She received her J.D. from the University of Alabama.

    Elizabeth Jackson Kanter works in the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama office.  Kanter graduated cum laude from Auburn University where she received her undergraduate degree in business management.  Following Auburn, she received her juris doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.  Kanter practices in Carr Allison’s transportation, products liability, premises liability and insurance groups.  She is a member of the Alabama Bar, and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle districts of Alabama.  Kanter is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and currently serves on the Young Lawyer’s Executive Board for the Alabama Bar.

    Eric M. Wade practices in Carr Allison's Dothan, Alabama, office. His practice primarily focuses on the defense of workers' compensation claims and personal injury liability claims for employers, businesses, and insurers in the state of Alabama. Mr. Wade graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama earning his B.A.degree after double majoring in political science and criminal justice. He then obtained his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University where he was a member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable John B. Bush, Presiding Circuit Judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Mr. Wade is a member of the American Bar Association and serves on several committees within the Young Lawyer's Division. He is also a member of the Houston County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers' Association. Mr. Wade is also a member of the Alabama State Bar's Workers' Compensation Section, and he serves on the Defense Research Institute's committee on Lawyers' Professionalism and Ethics.
